Poseidon Project – Leware Construction Company

At Poseidon, we take great pride in our longstanding relationships with clients who have grown alongside us. One of the most enduring partnerships is with Leware Construction Company, a company Poseidon has worked with for over two decades. In fact, Leware Construction Company was one of the very first customers to purchase our sectional barges — a purchase that has proven to be a wise long-term investment for them, with those first barges still in use today.

Leware has found their sectional barges to be a valuable asset, often proving to be the exact solution they need. One such example is the SR 23 Bridge project over Black Creek in Clay County, FL. The project called for an engineering solution that could balance both width restrictions imposed by the bridge spans and the need for stability during a complex double pick operation using two cranes on a single platform. Poseidon’s engineering team rose to the challenge, providing the necessary support to ensure the barges were configured to meet the job’s unique demands.

Thanks to the flexibility of Poseidon’s sectional barges, Leware Construction Company was able to create a configuration that not only adhered to the strict width requirements but also ensured the stability needed for the cranes to safely perform their picks. This project is a testament to the enduring value and reliability of the sectional barges we have provided since the very beginning. Those original barges, still in operation today, continue to play a crucial role in getting the job done efficiently and safely.

It’s also worth noting that this project brought together individuals who have known each other for decades. Pictured below is Donnie Fain, Poseidon’s founder, on the job site with Scott and Jim Leware — partners who have shared a professional journey for many years.

The SR 23 Bridge project is just one example of how Poseidon products are designed to stand the test of time. We are proud to have supported Leware Construction Company in this effort and to see our partnership thriving after all these years. It’s a true mark of durability and the trust that customers place in our products, engineering, and solution services.

As MES continues to grow and evolve, we look forward to many more successful collaborations with companies like Leware Construction Company, who have been with us since the beginning and remain a vital part of our journey.

Here’s to the next 20 years of collaboration!
