Two MES-C7 platforms will support a major project for a leading international contractor as MES expands production to meet growing market demand.
Marine Equipment Solutions (MES) is excited to announce the award of its first commercial contract for two new Poseidon Jackup MES-C7 platforms. The units will be deployed in Canada to support a major project for one of the world’s largest international contractors.

While specific customer and project details remain confidential, the award marks the first commercial deployment of the Poseidon Jackup MES-C7 since MES announced its investment in bringing this versatile Jones Act-compliant, U.S. Coast Guard-approved and RINA-classed jackup solution to the North American market.
“This is an exciting milestone for MES and an important validation of the investment we have made in identifying and delivering solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers,” said Dan Ellis, President and CEO of Marine Equipment Solutions. “We saw a need in the market, committed the resources to address it, and now the first two units are going to work on a significant project for one of the world’s leading contractors.”
The Poseidon Jackup MES-C7 is a flexible, modular jackup platform engineered for demanding marine and nearshore construction applications, with a 440-ton deck load capacity. Through MES’s partnership with Combifloat, the platforms combine proven jackup technology with MES equipment expertise, technical support and a commitment to providing complete project solutions.
The initial contract includes two MES-C7 platforms. As customer interest and project opportunities continue to grow, MES is expanding production and developing additional jackup platforms in multiple sizes and configurations to meet the evolving needs of marine contractors and infrastructure projects.
“For us, this is about much more than adding another piece of equipment to our fleet,” Ellis added. “It reflects our continued strategy of listening to our customers, anticipating where the industry is headed and investing in equipment and capabilities that help them take on increasingly complex projects. Having the first two units committed reinforces our ability to respond to strong market demand.”
The Poseidon Jackup program is part of MES’s broader commitment to expanding its portfolio of specialized marine construction equipment and providing contractors with equipment, expertise and project support from a single source.
We invested because we saw the need. Now the first units are going to work.
With the first two Poseidon Jackup MES-C7 platforms preparing for deployment, MES continues investing ahead of demand—expanding its fleet, platform offerings, capabilities and expertise to support marine construction customers across North America.
